Prerequisites:
- A personal computer with one of the supported Operating Systems listed below.
- Windows 8.1 or later
- MacOS X 10.15 or later*
- Ubuntu 18.04 or later*
- Local administrative access to your personal computer
- Active internet access
- Office 365 credentials (These are your McCorvey Companies email credentials)
- A Perimeter 81 license (Issued by the IT Department)
If you do not know your Office 365 credentials or you have not been assigned a Perimeter 81 license you will need to open a ticket with IT.
*The rest of this guide will be focused on a Microsoft Windows Installation, if you require installation on a different operating system the steps should be similar, however, you will have to make some adjustments as appropriate. McCorvey IT will only be able to offer limited support to non-Microsoft Windows products.
Step 1 (Download):- Download the Perimeter81 agent using one of the following URL's depending on your operating system:
Step 2 (Install):
- Run the installer, accept the terms and press install
Step 3 (Sign-in):- After Installation Perimeter81 automatically launches to the below screen, press next (~4 times) until you get to the sign-in prompt, then press sign-in.
- After pressing sign-in a web browser will launch to a workspace URL page - Enter mccorvey.perimeter81.com here. If this page does not show, skip to the next step
- On this page press Sign in with Microsoft
- On the next 2 pages enter your Office 365 (McCorvey Companies Email) Username and Password.
- On the Stay Signed in page press Yes
- The next page is the Duo 2 factor authentication page - press the appropriate option and approve the prompt on your mobile device.
Step 4 (Using Perimeter81):Before using the RDP shortcut to connect to your work desktop, you will need to connect to Perimeter81.
- Click on the Perimeter81 icon in your computers taskbar, then click the maximize button in the top right corner.
- Press the connect button.
- Wait for Perimeter81 to connect, the screen will change to this.

- After connecting you can use your RDP shortcut as normal, when you are finished working press Disconnect to end the VPN tunnel.
Conclusion:
You will need to connect before you try and RDP from now on. You will stay signed in and only have to press connect each time.
